DisneyQuest to Be Replaced by NBA Attraction in 2016
This morning, the Walt Disney World Resort confirmed that DisneyQuest (the indoor interactive theme park located next to the Cirque du Soleil at Downtown Disney) will permanently close in 2016 to make way for the NBA Experience, a new, indoor attraction that was announced at the beginning of the month.
While details have yet to be shared, it is believed that some of the sport-themed games found at DisneyQuest could be reused in the new NBA Experience.

Terrible decision by Disney. We used to spend a day alone just for Disney Quest, since the boys love it. DQ was the one thing that made DTD more fun than City Walk. I guess this gives us 1 less day to spend on a WDW hotel and an extra day to spend elsewhere. We'll probably use on the Legoland Hotel for a night.
ReplyDeleteI agree..
ReplyDeleteDisneyQuest is still a lot of fun,
something to do for everyone
the NBA sports does not appeal to our family at all

I can't tell if this is a good or bad decision. The attraction currently does very well especially during rainy days but a new attraction could be what the area needs.
ReplyDeleteAs a current annual passholder I've only visited twice in the year that I purchased them.
I would hope since they are dropping an entire park which is included in the Premium Annual Passes that they either add an additional perk to the Premium Annual Passes, or lower the price since they are removing a major perk from the passes.
ReplyDeleteYou know lowering the price is not going to happen..Lol
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Disney Quest, but I would have at least considered going there. No one in my family would have any interest in an NBA-themed area. I'm sure there are plenty of people that will like it, but it would be nice to have something in that big of a space with a little more variety.
