Islands of Adventure: Sindbad Show Closed (PART 2)

Welcome to the second part of this new Islands of Adventure photo-report. Be sure to check out PART 1 of this update if you have not already done so.
Previously, we took a look around the entrance of the park, the Port of Entry, Seuss Landing, and the majority of The Lost Continent. Let's continue to explore the rest of the park, because there is a lot that we still need to check out. Enjoy the rest of the photos and be sure to share your comments and opinions.

As you can see, some parts of the seating area of Sindbad's theater are being refurbished:

Moving along:

A new queue area has been set up in front of the entrance of Dragon Challenge due to the new metal detectors. We overheard people complaining about having to remove what they had in their pockets:

Entering The Lost World:

A new, automatic Photo Connect Station was recently installed next to the Spinosaurus. The T-Rex photo-op had this same service for a long time (it did not return when it was moved to a new location):

New tape:

Walls are up around a section of the old Triceratops Discovery Trail:

According to a member of the Orlando United website, this will soon become a new raptor meet-and-greet. It sounds quite exciting, doesn't it? We are sure it will be a great addition for this area:

Toon Lagoon:

Grad Bash:

Marvel Superhero Island:

New themed posters inside the shop at the exit of The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man:

New sign warn Guests that they will have to go through metal detectors before riding the Hulk coaster:

So much to look forward to...

And that's it for now. Before concluding, remember to like us on our official Facebook page and follow us on Twitter for live updates from the parks. Thank you very much for your great support.

  2. Will the raptor meet and greet be where the old triceratops encounter was? I miss that attraction.

  3. Yes, the metal detectors do suck, I agree. Isn't the facade of the restaurant supposed to be dirty looking?

  4. The other month I watched an idiot who smuggled a beer can on to The Hulk, throw it to hit the track, whilst on the ride after he had drank it. The metal detectors do suck but it's people like that who are to blame - safety over-rides everything in a theme park.

  5. I completely understand why they need the metal detectors, but they still suck!

  6. I never ride Dragon Challenge since they stopped the dueling aspect of it but I did enjoy the view from the queue, not to mention seeing the flying car. Its too bad they didn't move the detector up closer so you can still do that.

  7. Maybe with the new metal detectors in place, maybe..just maybe we'll see the Dragon Challenge Duel again!
