New Shop Coming Soon to Disney's Marketplace Co-Op

As a “testing ground” for retail concepts, shops, and products, the Marketplace Co-Op (an indoor location found at Downtown Disney) is designed as a flexible space to showcase new trends and seasonal offerings with boutiques changing periodically. With that in mind, the Walt Disney World Resort is expanding the WonderGround Gallery and welcoming a new concept called The Sign Shop, which is currently expected to open to Guests on March 6, 2015.

Extremely popular as a small shop inside the Marketplace Co-Op, WonderGround Gallery is expanding its distinctive and eclectic art collections into a larger retail space. Showcasing works from a new generation of artists and unexpected finds in home and lifestyle merchandise, WonderGround Gallery draws inspiration from Disney’s deeply rooted heritage of art and storytelling.

As part of a grand opening event on March 6-7, the following artists will make appearances on both days to sign their works for Guests:

• 1-3:30 p.m. - Michael Lewis Glover & Jerrod Maruyama 
• 5-7:30 p.m. - Jasmine Becket-Griffith & Robert Jimenez

Also opening on March 6, The Sign Shop showcases the beauty of Disney theme park architecture and attractions through eclectic vintage signs.

The Marketplace Co-Op is open during the following hours:

• Sunday – Thursday: 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.
• Friday / Saturday: 10 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.
