Crane Behind Cinderella Castle to Remain Through March

Guests that have visited the Magic Kingdom Park in the past few weeks will have certainly noticed the large construction crane behind Cinderella Castle. The crane is currently expected to be in place through March 12, 2015.
As a result, the walkway from Sir Mickey’s (a themed store) to the Fairytale Garden (a meet-and-greet area) will be closed to Guest traffic. Additionally, the smoking area next to Sir Mickey’s will be relocated behind Castle Couture.

    I assume they're doing some maintenance beyond just removing the Christmas lights then? Replacing some shingles or something?

    When we were there they were installing a new exhaust hood on top of one of the roof levels. I'm sure it has to do with the refurbishment of the restaurant inside.
