As the Walt Disney World Resort continues to update infrastructure around the monorail system, some temporary monorail route modifications will affect both the Resort and Express monorail beams on select days during the next few weeks. 1) During these times, trains on the Resort beam will travel between Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Magic Kingdom Park.
2) Trains on the Express beam will now make an additional stop at Disney’s Contemporary Resort as they travel between Magic Kingdom Park and Transportation and Ticket Center.
3) Resort Guests traveling to Epcot have two options:
- Board a train to the Transportation and Ticket Center and transfer to the Epcot line;
- Take a Disney bus directly from their resorts.
Monorail service will continue to be available from all stations while work takes place and the monorail operating hours will remain unchanged. Guests may note a difference in the way they board the trains and should allow for more travel time to reach their destinations.
I'm curious how you're going to get on on the express beam. It's away from the normal entry so unless they switch the track as they go at some point, that doesn't seem like it would work.
