FastPass+ Selection Window Start Time Delays (2015)
As some of our Readers may already know, when Guests attempt to make FastPass+ selections on the first day of their designated selection window, the specific time they may begin making selections is midnight (12 a.m.) EST unless theme park operational hours extend past midnight on the day prior to their selection date. If regular park hours extend past midnight, Guests will not be able to make selections until one minute past the final park closing time.
For example, if the selection window starts January 30, and all theme parks close by 11 p.m. EST on January 29, then the Guest may begin making selections at 12:01 a.m. EST on January 30.
Using the same example, if the selection window starts January 30, and the final theme park (usually the Magic Kingdom Park) does not close until 1 a.m. EST on the operational day of January 29, then the Guest must wait until 1:01 a.m. EST on January 30 to start making selections. Note that this nuance does not apply to Extra Magic Hours extending past midnight.
Based on Guest feedback, work is underway to ensure the window always opens at 12:01 a.m. EST regardless of park close time. Stay tuned for updates about future MyMagic+ enhancements.
Why would this matter?
ReplyDelete@Parker4fm - What this means is if you want to schedule your FP+ reservations for a day where the park hours extend past midnight (as often will during holiday seasons) you cannot schedule those FP+ items until the next day as it opens. It's simply one of many bugs. Not sure why this one made news. I'm still waiting on them to fix the basics, like having a 10 day on site stay, and yet the system won't recognize anything beyond the first day.
