Fireworks Test at Disney's Hollywood Studios December 19

If you will be staying at one of the hotels in the Epcot Resort area in the next few days, you should note that there will be a fireworks test Friday, December 19 after park closing (from 10:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.) at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The test will consist of rooftop firing locations on The Great Movie Ride, Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream, Voyage of The Little Mermaid, and Soundstage 4. This is definintely something we should watch very closely...

While this could be just a test to prepare for the fireworks show that will take place on the night of December 31, it could also be a not-so-subtle hint to a great entertainment offering that is rumored to be coming back to Disney's Hollywood Studios in the next few months. After all, the test is being done "to create magical experiences for Walt Disney World Resort Guests."

Recent rumors have pointed to the possibility of seeing the return of a nightly fireworks show that would take place after Fantasmic! This would make Disney's Hollywood Studios one of the most popular choices to spend the evening hours. This might be needed especially starting from next year, as even more attractions and experiences are expected to be closing to make way for what could be the biggest expansion in Disney's Hollywood Studios' history.

Of course, we might have to wait until the removal of the Sorcerer's Hat is complete. Just imagine the great view of the fireworks after the gigantic icon is displaced! We personally can't wait to learn more about the great new attractions and shows coming to the park. This is truly the beginning of a renaissance for Walt Disney World's least popular theme park.
