Animal Kingdom: Gibbons Habitat Refurbishment Project

Refurbishment work will begin December 8, 2014 in the gibbon habitat (located at Animal Kingdom) and continue in four-day increments over two weeks, requiring the animals to move backstage for a few days. Because of limited lighting in the area, work will be completed during daylight hours, so Guests will see workers in the gibbons’ exhibit. The moat will be drained during the week and refilled prior to the gibbons’ return. Work should be completed by Dec.19.
