Rumored Toy Story Mania Expansion Starting Soon

With the recent move of Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Frozen Funland, work will begin at Disney's Hollywood Studios to prepare Soundstage One for future use (rumors point to a possible expansion of Toy Story Midway Mania!). Beginning October 5, 2014 Soundstage One will be considered a construction zone and only authorized construction personnel will be able to enter the area. This project is expected to last through 2015.

    While we would all like to see a NEW attraction, I don't think anyone would disagree that the wait times for Toy Story Mania are consistently CRAZY LONG, so just like Soarin' at Epcot, this is a very good idea.

    P.S. But please announce some new attractions soon, too! :-)

      If they added more attractions for the younger demographic the wait times would boy border insanity.

    If they'd open new attractions, wait times for Toy Story would decrease as well.

    Disagree that it's a "very good" idea. As another commenter already said, wait times for Toy Story would decrease if they had more family attractions. Would have preferred they use that space for a great new family ride.

    This is a terrible idea. HS needs NEW, original attractions. Families with small children have very few reasons to visit the park.

    I think Disney have lost the plot with Disney Hollywood studios. It's not been the same since they dropped the MGM name. Now the backstage tour now gone it's slowly becoming less than a studios park.

    Hollywood studios is rumored to be getting a Pixar expansion which will take over the back lot area(BLT,honey I shrunk the kids,light motor action area) and will include some family rides.

    A very reliable source said DHS IS getting new attractions in addition and will meet needs for families.

    I would enjoy an expansion of Pixar Place as it as long as they don't just include and expansion of Toy Story mania. They need to add other new things as well to make it a proper themed area.

    HS needs a major revamp. The Animation Courtyard is boring, Indiana Jones has been there for donkeys, and all that space used up for fake shops is a waste! I'd welcome a Toy Story expansion provided there was another Pixar Expansion to go with it. If I won the lotto I'd give all my money to HS!!
