Polynesian Village Resort Reimagining Progress (Oct. 2014)
As part of Walt Disney World's continued commitment to enriching the Guest experience, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will continue to evolve over the coming months. Through 2015, Guests staying at the resort will see enhancements to many aspects of the resort that will bring its story to life like never before. Of course, this means that there could be some venues and offerings that may be unavailable during your stay. Here's a quick update:
The Nanea Volcano Pool and waterslide are closed for enhancement. The leisure pool, the Polynesian East Pool, will continue to remain open for Guest convenience. In addition, one complimentary visit to Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is available to each Guest. Each member of the party has to bring his or her MagicBand to the Water Park. The MagicBand is required to confirm the Resort reservation and issue the Guest a complimentary admission and towel rentals.
Barefoot Pool Bar is temporarily closed during the refurbishment of the Nanea Volcano Pool. Beverages are available for purchase at the Polynesian East Pool during this time.
Moana Mickey's Arcade is closed. Arcadia Games located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and The Game Station at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will continue to be available for our Guests enjoyment.
Kona Island is temporarily closed. Guests may visit Capt. Cooks for a quick-service location.
In addition to that, Guests that have a current reservation and will be staying at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort in the next few months have been sent letters prior to arriving at the Resort.
