Islands of Adventure Update: Taking It Easy (PART 1)
Islands of Adventure continues to be one of the best-looking theme parks ever created, and the new additions planned for the future should continue to consolidate the park's current position. One of the future projects is, of course, the new King Kong land (still unannounced at this point in time). Work on that particular area seems to be proceeding at a slow speed, which is unusual given the quick timelines of Universal's past projects. Join us as we take a look around:
The Port of Entry:
All the facades look great, as many of them were recently repainted:
Let's start with MARVEL Superhero Island:
Looking good:
MARVEL characters approaching:
Short wait times are the best:
Entering Toon Lagoon:
Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges is still the single best water ride we have ever experienced:
The second water ride in the area, Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls, seemed to be working smoothly during that visit. The ride has had some pretty extensive downtimes in the past few weeks:
