Disneyland Park California: September 2014 Update
This afternoon we have a special photo-update covering a theme park that is not located in Central Florida. In fact, we will actually visiting the magnificent Disneyland Park, located in Anaheim, California. The first Disney Park ever created is still one of the best we have ever visited, and it certainly continues to receive improvements every year. We had the opportunity to visit the happiest place on earth in the past few days, so join us as we take a look around to see what's new:
Welcome to Main Street U.S.A.:
Many facades are being refurbished:
Work also continues on the new side street, being built on the right side of Main Street U.S.A.:
You can clearly see a steel frame behind the tarps:
Walls have been erected in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle:
The drawbridge is being completely replaced:
More new railings are being added on the castle walls:
Going deeper into Fantasyland:
Some work is being done behind the massive facade of "it's a small world":
Alice in Wonderland received some upgrades in the past few months, and it looks great:
Moving on to Frontierland, we noticed these new railings, which are also being installed around Main Street U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom Park here in Florida. They look good in both locations, no doubt:
Some work is also being done on a facade next to the Golden Horseshoe:
The refurbished Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is fantastic. The new track is incredibly smooth, and the new effects on the last lift-hill are absolutely great. We really want this to happen to Magic Kingdom's version:
That said, the ride went down multiple times during our visit:
New Orleans Square received a new addition. It's a new, enclosed walkway that is part of Club 33:
Heading toward the future:
In Tomorrowland, the Guardians of the Galaxy sneak peek continues to be shown, which is basically a long advertisement for a new Marvel movie. The theater doesn't even use the awesome bouncing floor with this (it only moves twice, and for a second). In addition to that, most of the brand-new yellow 3-D glasses that were supposed to be sent to Disneyland have been recently rerouted to Walt Disney World. Even though Disneyland's theater uses purple glasses, it looks like one of their 3-D shows might close soon...
And that is all for now. That said, you can expect a new, full Disneyland photo-gallery in the next few days. Can't wait to explore the rest of this great theme park? Then, make sure to check out our official Disneyland Park photo-gallery from last year, with plenty of amazing photos taken around the park. have fun!
Now we know where you've been these past few days! Great update on the original Disneyland. I always chuckle when I see the castle there. It's so short compared to WDW, but I'm glad they've kept it as it's a classic.
ReplyDeleteDisneyland is our home park, so you can imagine our awe when we saw the Magic Kingdom castle for the first time last year. I think you brought us your Florida weather - we had an uncharacteristically humid rain storm a few days ago!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this Disneyland update. Looking forward for more.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous #2: Yes, we heard (and felt!) the humidity on our last day, but we didn't see any rain whatsoever! We definitely brought some of our weather with us, though, like you said! Can't wait to go back again!
