Electric Car Charging Stations Debut at Epcot

For the first time at the Walt Disney World Resort, Guests with electric vehicles have the opportunity to charge their cars while they play at Epcot. Four new ChargePoint charging spaces at the front of the Journey parking lot are available for Guests to use by scanning their pre-ordered ChargePoint card, which can be easily acquired by registering for a free ChargePoint account (which can be created online by visiting http://www.chargepoint.com), or by simply using any credit card.

The cost to charge at these stations is $0.35 per kilowatt hour, with a minimum service amount of $1.50. Charging will stop once the vehicle’s battery is fully charged and ChargePoint will “ping” the owners to alert them. 

Guests arriving at the Epcot Auto Plaza may ask a Cast Member for directions to the charging stations, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
