Animal Kingdom Stores Testing New MagicBands Option
If you are planning on buying a MagicBand during your next vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort but will not stay on-site, make sure to note the following:
Beginning August 19, Disney Outfitters, Creature Comforts, Chester and Hester's, and other Walt Disney World Resort locations will pilot a new option for Guests to purchase solid-colored MagicBands. During the time the test will take place, Guests may buy MagicBands but not link them to a ticket at the time of purchase.

For retail MagicBand purchases, Guests must currently present valid theme park admission, a Memory Maker card or another MagicBand to link to at the time of sale. With the new option being piloted, Guests will be able to purchase solid-colored MagicBands (available in seven colors) and link them at a future date, providing an opportunity for Guests to buy MagicBands as gifts. Other stores will soon be included in this test.
Remember that there are purchase limits in place for MagicBands. Also, discounts on retail MagicBands and accessories are available for Annual Passholders, DVC members, Golden Oak Residents, and Cast Members.
