Seven Seas Drive and Floridian Way Traffic Impacts (July 4)
The Walt Disney World Resort continuously evaluates traffic patterns across the areas surrounding the theme parks and other entertainment areas. Recently, they have identified a new plan as a way to reduce congestion after Magic Kingdom fireworks. Therefore, as an effort to reduce congestion along Seven Seas Drive and World Drive after the July 4 fireworks performance at the Magic Kingdom Park, they will be redirecting traffic along key roadways. The following changes will take place from 9:30 – 11:30 p.m. on Friday, July 4, 2014:
- Both lanes of Seven Seas Drive will accommodate westbound traffic from World Drive to Floridian Way;
- Both lanes of Floridian Way between Seven Seas Drive and Bear Island Road will accommodate southbound traffic only.
- The Floridian Way exit from the Woody parking lot at Magic Kingdom will be closed, so Cast Members will be directed to exit with guest onto World Drive.
- In addition, buses will be rerouted along Bear Island Road to resort destinations.

During this time, drivers around Magic Kingdom Park should check alternate routes to get to their destinations. Please plan for delays while traveling in this area and adjust travel plans accordingly. Law enforcement and Walt Disney World Security Cast Members will be available to assist drivers who need assistance.
