Cabana Bay Beach Resort Bridge Construction Update
Universal Orlando's newest on-site hotel, Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort, is now fully open to all Guests (including the second pool area and the new lazy river), but there's still some work being done around the area. While we wait for an expansion to this hotel and the new WonderSea Water Park, work continues on the large bridge that will connect Cabana Bay to the Royal Pacific Resort walkway, which leads to the Universal parks and CityWalk. Take a look at the progress:
First of all, we would like to apologize for the quality of some of these photos, but they were taken while sitting in a moving vehicle (we were not driving while taking photos, don't worry. That would be very unsafe):
Getting a clearer view:
As you can see, this is definitely not going to be a small bridge:
On the contrary, it appears to be a massive construction:
And that is all for now. Thank you very much for your support, and see you again real soon!
What I read is that this is going to be a green bridge. It uses recycled water to water the shrubs and trees that are planted on the bridge. People walking on the bridge will feel walking in a park and the bridge transforms CO2 into oxygen. Because of the weight of the plants, soil and water the structure needs to be supportive for that. I think it is going to look amazing when finished and positive for the environment.
