Rock Your Disney Side - COMPLETE EVENT GUIDE

Magic Kingdom Park will open for 24 hours nonstop between May 23 and 24, as Disney Parks welcome summer on both coasts with a one-of-a-kind event, "Rock Your Disney Side: 24-Hours." This event includes special "heroes and villains" themed entertainment and offerings, and Guests are invited to dress as their favorite Disney character. To prepare our Readers for this special occasion, we put together online event guide. We hope you will be able to be in attendance!:

PARK OPEN FROM 6:00 A.M. (May 23) UNTIL 6:00 A.M. (May 24)

- DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT -

Laugh bigger, scream louder and stay out all day and night at an enchanting summer kick-off celebration! No matter which coast you find yourself on, prepare to "Rock Your Disney Side" with a gang of pirates, princesses, villains and party animals, right inside select Disney Parks!

From 6:00 AM to 6:00 AM, May 23 to May 24, 2014, you and your family are invited to dress up for the occasion and join a gathering of Disney heroes and villains for 24 hours of fun and follies—along with a selection of beloved attractions, popular shows and classic entertainment only Disney can bring to life.

Whether you make your way to the Theme Parks of Disneyland Resort in California or find yourself at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, you're sure to enjoy a memory-making day and night that will go down in history as "wicked fun for everyone." So come as a prince, princess or pirate; a monster, a mermaid or even a Mad Hatter—whatever rocks your Disney Side!

- GENERAL EVENT DETAILS -

• Hours of operation for the event will take place from 6:00 a.m., May 23 to 6:00 a.m., May 24, 2014.
• Only select attractions, entertainment and services will be available.
• Valid theme park admission is required.
• Event is subject to restrictions and change without notice.
• Cast Member ID's and Main Entrance Passes are blocked on those days. E-Tickets are accepted.

- COSTUME DETAILS -

• Costumes should be child-friendly and adhere to any guidelines determined by Disney.
• Costumes should not be obstructive, offensive or violent; drag on the ground;contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest; contain any weapons or objects which resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
• Masks may be worn, but they must not obstruct vision, and eyes must be visible at all times.
• Guests who dress like Disney characters may not pose for pictures or sign autographs.
• Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines may be refused admission.

- TRANSPORTATION -

BUS: Walt Disney World Resort Guests may go to their bus load zone 45 minutes prior to Park opening and not wait more than 20 minutes for a bus to their destination.

WATERCRAFT: Resort watercraft service to the Magic Kingdom Park will begin 45 minutes prior to scheduled Park opening.

FERRY/MONORAIL: Ferry and monorail service between the Transportation & Ticket Center and the Magic Kingdom entrance begins 45 minutes before Park opening. Monorail service between Epcot and the Transportation & Ticket Center will operate until 11:00 p.m. the following evening, Saturday, May 24, 2014.

- SPECIAL HAPPENINGS -

• Special edition of the Welcome Show at 5:50 a.m.
• The “Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It!” Street Party will feature Disney heroes at 10 a.m. and Disney villains at 1:30 p.m. When it comes to the 5:45 p.m. performance, though, exactly who makes an appearance will be determined by your votes throughout the day!
• Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade performing at 12 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
• Disney’s Main Street Electrical Parade performing at 11 p.m. and 1 a.m.
• Prior to each presentation of Disney’s Main Street Electrical Parade, the Disney villains roll through Magic Kingdom Park in a pre-parade, celebrating how “It’s Good to Be Bad!”
• “Wishes Nighttime Spectacular” fireworks taking place at 9 p.m.
• “Celebrate the Magic” taking place at 8:45 p.m., 9:45 p.m., and 11:45 p.m.
• Starting at 11 p.m., half of Princess Fairytale Hall becomes Scary Tale Hall, the perfect place to encounter Maleficent and the Queen from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” (Don’t worry, though. The other side of the hall will still feature favorite royals Anna and Elsa.)
• Around 1:45 a.m., the villains take over the rest of the park’s character greeting locations. Where Aladdin and Jasmine appear in Adventureland during the day, expect to find Jafar instead. Elsewhere, Dr. Facilier takes the place of Princess Tiana, Captain Hook subs for Peter Pan, and more!
• In Tomorrowland, the #INCREDIBLESSuperDanceParty rocks the Rockettower Plaza Stage from 4:30 p.m. – 10 p.m., followed by Incredibles Movie Night with screenings of Disney•Pixar’s “The Incredibles” from 11 p.m. – 5 a.m.
• Disney’s “Up All Night” Dance Party at Cinderella Castle and the Frontierland Dance Party on the west side of the park will keep things festive from 2 a.m. – 5:45 a.m.
• This grand, 24-hour extravaganza concludes with a special “Kiss Goodnight” at 5:50 a.m. at the Railroad Station in Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A.

Each Guest will receive a complimentary “Maleficent”-themed button upon entry to the park. Cast Members will be distributing buttons near the front entrance as Guests come into the park. Guests who do not receive a button can get one at City Hall.
