FastPass+ Testing for Off-Site WDW Guests Starting Now
The testing of the new FastPass+ service continues to take place daily at the Walt Disney World Resort. While the service seems to be ready, there are still a few minor issues and/or tests that may need to be done, but it looks like we are getting there.
In fact, Cast Members across the property are being told that the new FastPass+ service may become available to all Guests as soon as the first few weeks of April. But there's more...
"We were [at the Magic Kingdom Park] on Tuesday and went in to get Fastpasses. On the way out a [Cast Member] with an I-pad asked if we would be visiting the parks on subsequent days and whether we were staying on- or off-property. Since we were off property, she told us we could go back into the FastPass+ area to a certain desk and they would get us set up to be able to reserve FastPasses for the rest of our stay (up to 7 days from that day).
They signed us up and we were able to do it! I felt lucky AND it worked really well. We had no problems with the system or the FastPasses working with our cards. Thought your readers would like to know."

One of our Readers (whom we thank very much) recently contacted us, and sent us the following message:

As you can see, we are one step closer to the full roll-out of FastPass+ (and MyMagic+). Excited yet? let us know.
Still wish you were able to use Fastpass+ Ali with a park hopper option. I don't agree to being locked into fast passes for only one park a day.
ReplyDeleteJust came back from several days at the parks. We did not like Fastpass+ at all. When the park opens everyone runs and you end up waiting 30-45 minutes to plan out the rest of your day. We mainly go as "day visitors" since the hotel prices are so high compared to what you can get just a couple miles off property. As an annual passholder, I long for the old days of regular fastpass. Despite loving Disney, I am disheartened by what I perceive as several steps backward. The food, guest service, and overall experience within the park I feel is waning. On the current trajectory, I doubt we renew next year.
