Downtown Disney District: Quick Construction Update

Welcome to our newest photo-report, Orlando Theme Park News Readers!
Today we are going to take a look around Downtown Disney to check out on the progress being done in the various areas that are currently under construction. As always, we will focus primarily on the new Starbucks locations, the parking garage, and Pleasure Island, but we will also take a general look around the rest of this entertainment district. As always, we hope you will enjoy the pictures (and we also look forward to read your comments):

First of all, a new seating area has been set up near Cirque du Soleil:

New themed awnings are under construction in this area (in the area right in front of the shops):

The Pleasure Island bridge is still closed:

Work on the new Marketplace bridge continues:

  1. Looks like they're ready to put on the second floor deck for the parking. I wonder if it cast in place or if it'll be pre-cast / place - beams & decking.

Must be time to go hunting for some building permit or plan details :)

  2. to edit: I looked back and see in one of the first pictures that they appear to be forming up for a slab on one section.
