Studio Backlot Tour Closing for Long Rehab on Jan. 5, 2014
If you plan on visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios in the next few months, you should take note of the following refurbishment:
The Studio Backlot Tour will be under refurbishment beginning Sunday, January 5, 2014 through Saturday March 1, 2014. The attraction is scheduled to reopen on Sunday, March 2, 2014 for your enjoyment.
You sure it's a refurb? More like they're saying it's a refurb, and they're gearing up to gut it out of there?

ReplyDeletePlease Disney put this ride to rest. There is no backlot and no tour worth taking.
ReplyDeletethe backlot tour needs much more than just a refurb. I personally feel there is nothing Disney could do to make this tour worthwhile again.
ReplyDeleteMaybe this is Disney trialling making the backlot a seasonal attraction, like carousel of progress - i'm sure it would save them a few dollars!
Only problem is that HS is probably the weakest of the Disney parks and desperately needs additions, not closures - even if the attraction being (temporary) closed is one of the poorest in WDW
