Downtown Disney: Disney Springs Project News (Jan. 2014)
The Downtown Disney entertainment district continues to change and evolve, as the entire area is slated to soon become Disney Springs. We continuously try to keep you up-to-date bringing you the latest photo-reports covering this and other areas, but today we are just going to share with you a few tidbits of some parts of the project that have either started or are going to start very soon. Of course, as this is an on-going project, things are subject to change at any time. That being said, here is a snapshot of what's currently happening at Downtown Disney:
Here is a snapshot of several projects underway this week at the Downtown Disney Area.
- Bridge 4 (located between the West Side and Pleasure Island) is temporarily closed through this fall as work on The Landing continues. Additional temporary closures include the “top of the hill” on Pleasure Island and the nearby Bridge 4 restrooms.
- Walls are up in Keith’s Park (between the LEGO Imagination Center and the T-REX Cafe) to divert Guest traffic around the site of the upcoming Marketplace Causeway project. When complete later this year, this land bridge will span between the Rainforest Café and LEGO Imagination Center, and will provide Guests with multiple ways to explore the Marketplace and will offer picturesque views of Village Lake.
- Work is in progress at the Lilly Pad near Fulton’s Crab House and Portobello to prepare the area for The Landing. This work is expected to be complete this fall.
Thank you for reading. We will post a new Downtown Disney photo-update in the next few days. Stay tuned!
