Animal Kingdom: Character Meet-and-Greet Changes
Due to the imminent closure of Camp Minnie-Mickey (work to build the AVATAR-inspired land will encompass and expand beyond the current Camp Minnie-Mickey area), some entertainment changes will be taking place at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park to allow Guests to still be able to meet and greet some of the characters that were previously appearing in that area.
Guests visiting the park "will be able to find their favorite Disney characters in new, immersive environments being created throughout the park."

Starting Monday, January 6, 2014 the following characters will meet in new locations:
- Chip and Dale will “meet and play” at Rafiki’s Planet Watch as Guests make their way from the Wildlife Express Train station to Conservation Station. In this playful setting, children of all ages can pose for photos with the chipmunks and hear music by Gi-Tar Dan.
- Say “Wingapo” to Pocahontas as she joins porcupines, colorful exotic birds and other animal friends along the Discovery Island Trail.
- Donald Duck will welcome friends to join him for a photo with Cory the dinosaur along Cretaceous Trail in Dinoland U.S.A.
- King Louie and Baloo will find a home in Upcountry Landing along Bradley Falls.
