WDW: Resort Monorail Beam Downtime (Oct. 2013)

Please, note that the Magic Kingdom's monorail system (the resort monorail beam only) will be down for a few hours each day for the next two weeks. Here you are additional information regarding this planned downtime:

To accommodate construction work at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the operating schedule for the resort monorail beam will be temporarily adjusted. Beginning today (Sunday, October 6, 2013), monorail service on the resort monorail to the Magic Kingdom Park will be temporarily suspended during non-peak times, between 11 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. During this time, Guests may use watercraft and bus transportation to travel to their destinations. The Magic Kingdom express monorail beam and the Epcot beam will continue normal operation.

As stated before, this work is expected to be completed within the next two weeks (weather permitting).
