Kennedy Space Center: Bus Tours Resumed
The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex officially resumed offering Kennedy Space Center Bus Tours to the Apollo/Saturn V Center. The bus tours, which had been suspended due to the government shutdown, have been made available once again to Visitor Complex guests starting this past Friday (October 18, 2013).
The Visitor Complex, including the new Space Shuttle Atlantis, Astronaut Encounter, Angry Birds Space Encounter, Shuttle Launch Experience, and U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame, remained open for visitors during the shutdown, and will continue to operate daily (regular operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily).
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is not funded through appropriated or taxpayer funds. Operation, maintenance and development are funded through revenue generated by ticket, food and merchandise sales.
