Downtown Disney: Dragon Boat Festival Advisory

Please, take note of the following advisory that will impact the Downtown Disney area later this month:

On October 18-19, 2013 approximately 2,000 athletes will compete in the Orlando International Dragon Boat Festival on Village Lake at Downtown Disney. Practice sessions and event competitions will effect Downtown Disney watercraft transportation.

There will be no water taxi service in Village Lake, and no watercraft service to or from Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, Disney’s Old Key West, and the Treehouse Villas:

• October 9: from 4:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
• October 10-17: from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 3:15 p.m. until 6:45 p.m.
• October 18: from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 3:15 p.m. until close

The only watercraft provided is from Marketplace dock to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort. On October 19,  2013 there will not be any watercraft transportation until 5:30 p.m.

During all watercraft closures, Disney Bus Transportation will be provided to and from the West Side and the Marketplace bus loops. Cast Members and signage will be in place to direct Guests.
