Reimagining Downtown Disney: Parking Reminders

As you know, the humongous project that is going to completely transform the Downtown Disney area (that will soon be known as "Disney Springs") is continuing to go forward, and this is affecting the parking in the area. That is why the Walt Disney World Resort has recently shared these reminders for Guests parking in the area:

Downtown Disney Parking Updates and Reminders

1) Guest overflow parking is implemented based on demand. Walking is an easy way to access the Downtown Disney property from overflow parking lots. Estimated walk time from: 

• Casting Center and SunTrust is 5-10 minutes 
• Team Disney is less than 15 minutes 

2) Guest shuttle service will be provided 5 p.m.-2 a.m. most Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, as well as holidays and special events. Shuttles will transport Guests between Team Disney and Downtown Disney West Side near Cirque du Soleil. Shuttle pick-up times and cycle times vary based on traffic and the ridership.

3) If you have a reservation for dining or entertainment at Downtown Disney, we recommend that you arrive early — at least 60 minutes prior to your reservation on weekends and holidays, and at least 30 minutes on all other days.

4) As part of the Disney Springs expansion, a new parking garage is being built at Downtown Disney West Side. The new garage is planned to open in late 2014.
