Epcot: Future World Update (PART 2)

Welcome to PART 2 of this Future World update (PART 1 can be found HERE).

Test Track:

The ride only had a 30-minute wait earlier this afternoon!:

The Electric Umbrella:

A closer look at the slightly new menu:

This is new:

The vegetarian  flatbread has also changed:

...even in the kids' menu, of course:

The Fountain of Nations:

New FastPass+ kiosks in the information center (located behind the Pin Trading location):

The Epcot Character Spot doesn't seem to have lines as long as in the past. Even when the park was busier, it didn't look like there were a lot of people waiting in line:

One of the ponds of Future World West was recently drained. Today it was again filled up with water. Just to show you, here's how the pond looked like when it was drained... something you shouldn't miss!! :-)

Our last stop for the day is... The Land pavilion:

The Soarin' sign was missing the red hang-glider a couple of days ago (it's back now):

The Land:

Work on one of the escalators is complete. It should be put into operation by the end of the week:

From above:

The new escalators seems a bit larger than the old one, but we could be wrong:

Work on replacing the other escalator has begun:

From above:

Living with the Land was offering FASTPASSes today (and for the past few days)...

On to Soarin'. The highest wait time we have seen today was 50 minutes. 45 is close enough, though:

FASTPASSes still available after 1:00 p.m.? Now that's a great news!:

That is all for now. We will soon have a complete photo-update just for the renovated Fountain View and for World Showcase ( most of the booths for the Food & Wine Festival are already in place, by the way!)

  1. It's a little strange for me to look at these photos since I was just there this past Tuesday and I am back home now. Thanks for the updates as always!

  2. I was wondering if the food is still pretty good at the Land Pavilion? My wife and I stayed at Disney for our Honeymoon and ate there a couple of times. The thing I liked most was the variety of offerings at the food court.

  3. @Scott: Yes, it is very good, and most of the food there is very healthy (no burgers and fries...). We agree with you.

  4. For Quick Service restaurants I find that the lack of attactions they make up with a good selection of QS round future world and world showcase. Worst park for QS to me is DHS
