Downtown Disney: Update on Disney Springs Project

Here you are some quick updates for this month (September 2013) regarding the Disney Springs project:

Fuego by Sosa Cigars

The last day of operation for Fuego by Sosa Cigars will be Monday, September 30, 2013, and walls will go up around the area that night. The Guest restrooms near Fuego will temporarily close as well as work begins to transform the area into new experiences. The Sosa Family Cigars store at Downtown Disney West Side wil continue to operate.

Wetzel’s Pretzels

The Wetzel’s Pretzels location at Downtown Disney West Side will close in early October and will reopen with two kiosks – one for Wetzel’s Pretzels and one for Haagen-Dazs – near DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park.

Starbucks

Starbucks will open at Downtown Disney West Side next year in the current Wetzel’s Pretzels location. Additionally, a Starbucks kiosk will open near World of Disney at Downtown Disney Marketplace.

Pleasure Island Boat Dock

The Downtown Disney Pleasure Island boat dock will temporarily close beginning October 14, 2013 as work on the Pleasure Island bypass bridge is completed. During this time, watercraft transportation service for Downtown Disney Guests will only be available between the West Side and Marketplace docks. The Pleasure Island boat dock will return to normal operation in early November.
