Did You Know That? - Walt Disney World Edition (27)
Enjoy today's edition of "Did You Know That?" - Walt Disney World:

No. 27: Many of the floats used in the “Festival of the Lion King” show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park are from “The Lion King Celebration” parade, which ran at Disneyland Park from 1994 to 1997. This is just one example of Disneyland sharing with its Florida sibling. The General Electric Carousel of Progress also was shipped over from Disneyland Park, where it lived from 1967 to 1973. The Disneyland edition of the Main Street Electrical Parade came to Magic Kingdom Park twice -- once from 1999 to 2001 and again in 2010. But perhaps the most gracious example of sharing was when FedEx was called upon to ship Walt’s working office from the Opera House at Disneyland Park to Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

I totally forgot about this parade! Cool!
ReplyDeleteI seen this show at AK but is it better than the stage/puppet show Of the lion King that was at the Magic Kingdom in the 90's?
