No. 25: The Great Moments Movie Museum was a conceptual name for The Great Movie Ride. Originally it was going to be showcased at a showbiz pavilion at Epcot, but the idea grew until it became the centerpiece attraction at Disney-MGM Studios (now Disney’s Hollywood Studios). The “Mary Poppins” carousel horse located in the lobby must feel particularly at home, as the film held its premiere at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Aug. 27, 1964, as a benefit for the Disney-founded California Institute of the Arts.
