New Downtown Disney Map (July 2013)
The latest Downtown Disney map includes some quite major changes, especially in one of the three areas of this entertainment and shopping district (Pleasure Island, of course). As you will see, some of the current Pleasure Island buildings have completely disappeared, as they are currently being demolished to make way for completely new structures that will open as part of the Disney Springs project. Let's first check out the new map, then compare a slightly older Downtown Disney map with the current one, to see exactly what has changed:

Here you can notice the few buildings that are missing (the Adventurers' Club continues to live on!):

In addition to that, some parking lots are now completely closed, as the new multi-story parking gets built:

Thanks for the updates as always. Love the comparisons of the maps.
ReplyDeleteNice to see the Disney Springs project kicking into high gear. Of course it should be, considering the value(s)it will offer to the WDW resort. Anyhow, I can across a blog post reading from another site (the disney blog) and they mentioned in their most recent Disney Springs post story that the Disney Springs budget got trimmed/reduced recently and that trimmed/reduced amount will be reallocated toward the DHS makeover project (not saying rumored anymore since that Disney Insider article came out today and had Dave Fisher come out and say teasers for upcoming Avatar and Star Wars-which would go to DHS or whatever they rename it-projects will be unveiled at D23. Jeff? OTPN Admin? Any insight? Thanks.
