New Boats for the Pirates of the Caribbean Ride
Magic Kingdom's Pirates of the Caribbean attraction just received a very short refurbishment. It reopened today (Wednesday, July 31, 2013), and one of the most notable changes is the addition of a completely new fleet of boats. These new boats actually look very similar to their predecessors, but there are some minor differences that make it clear that they are brand-new. Let's first of all take a quick look at some of them:
We apologize for the fact that some of these photos may be too dark:
One thing is sure: they "feel" lighter than the old boats:
As you can see, they look like they are made of hard plastic:
The handles are now made of hard plastic as well (with the exception of the one at the front of the boat):
Next time you visit the Magic Kingdom Park, make sure to ride the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. You could be among the very first Guests to experience the ride in these new boats! Exciting, we know...
My memory is bad but do the new boats come with an extra row of seats?
ReplyDeleteWhat was wrong with the old boats?
ReplyDeleteglad you took a photo with flash before boarding the boats, but from the viewpoint you were at, you probably blinded that poor cast member trying to watch out for other guests safety at the load area. be careful, friend.
