Disney's Osprey Ridge Golf Course Closing Soon
The Walt Disney World Resort has now officially finalized the sale of the Osprey Ridge Golf Course, which will temporarily close to the public starting August 12, 2013 (the very last day to play on this course will be Sunday, August 11, 2013). The golf course will then be turned over to the Four Seasons Resort Orlando on August 15, 2013 (the hotel is still under construction at this time. It is slated to open in 2014).
Some background information: In 2009, the Golden Oak luxury resort community was announced, including the development of the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort. Osprey Ridge was acquired at that time by Four Seasons, to become part of their resort. It will be operated by Four Seasons' Management.
