Disney Springs: Some News on the Status of the Work

The major "Re-Imagining" project for the Downtown Disney area continues day after day. Today we are sharing a quick update on what was done in the past few days and what will be done in the following months:
  • Downtown Disney's parking lot H was closed this past Saturday night (July 6, 2013) as part of one of the next steps necessary to complete this massive project;
  • Also, as we reported last week, the marsh area between Downtown Disney Marketplace and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is now being excavated to expand Village Lake into the area as part of the Disney Springs expansion project. For this reason, the east sidewalk between Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and Downtown Disney Marketplace is now unavailable. Guests may still use other forms of transportation to reach Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa in the meantime.
  • Lastly, work on the bypass bridge between Pleasure Island and the West Side is underway. Once complete, this bridge will span from Paradiso 37 to Characters in Flight on the edge of Village Lake.
  • Work continues behind the construction walls on Pleasure Island (behind Raglan Road Irish Pub).
Thank you for your attention. We will go back to Downtown Disney in the next few weeks to bring you another extensive photo-update. Stay tuned, and see you in just a few minutes with some more news and updates.

  1. I really hope they can pull this off. Downtown Disney is our favorite place to hang out.

  2. I think it really needs a venue for adults only at night.Like a entertainment venue with live Comedians,live bands and then a disco afterwards. During the day upto 7pm families can go in here and enjoy family entertainment and lunch.

  3. I agree with Savo- and maybe a place where people can experience a fabled club that is the jumping-off point for expeditions, experiences, and adventures of all kinds. Oh I know; maybe they could call it The Adventurers Club and stock it with artifacts of all typed from members' many and varied excursions. Who knows, it might just be popular.
