Refurbished Main Street Bakery Reopens June 18, 2013
Can you smell that? Yes, it definitely does look like Starbucks has arrived to the Magic Kingdom Park!
In fact, on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 Guests visiting the Magic Kingdom Park will be greeted by a popular coffee logo, and they'll smell and taste a familiar beverage. The Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom Park is reopening Tuesday serving Starbucks beverages and treats, along with several, tasty Disney favorites.
Main Street Bakery at Magic Kingdom Park will offer the full complement of Starbucks signature beverages, artisan breakfast sandwiches and a wide selection of baked goods, including muffins, scones and specialty treats.
We will try to visit the park next Thursday, even just to check out the new theming inside the bakery.
I am really worried about this change. I hope they will still sell those amazing pieces of chocolate or carrot cake. I
ReplyDeletecould care less about the coffee, but a bakery needs good baking!
I currently work in the Main Street Bakery and I can confirm that we will not sell any cake. All we will sell (when it comes to baked goods) is muffins, loafs, scones, brownies, cookies, cupcakes, and cake pops.. From open to 11am everyday we will sell only Starbucks baked goods. From 11am through the rest of the day we will sell some Starbucks, some Disney, baked goods.
ReplyDeleteIt's a real shame that things have to change. When my son was younger and we were leaving the Magic Kingdom very late, he was crying from being tired. I could not have our last day in Disney be sad, so we went to the bakery and had a piece of cake. He left the park with a smile on his face. This then became our special trip on leaving the park each vacation we would go. We are going to miss this family tradition. Oh well!
