Universal Studios Update: March 25, 2013 (PART 4)

Welcome to PART 4 of this Universal Studios Florida photo-report (PART 3 can be found at this link).

It's incredible to think that this area was formerly a fake midway...

We'll now continue to take a stroll around the yet-to-be-completed City of Springfield:

Signs on the walls directed Guests to other restaurant in the park since the former International Food & Film Festival restaurant is now closed:

It was nice to see the Cafe La Bamba being open:

More construction:

Moving on, it is so sad to see this place closed to the general public:

This issue will hopefully be addressed soon:

The conditions of the place are really poor in some areas:

We then headed to the Cafe La Bamba, but we found it closed (it was 5:30 p.m.; it closed at 5:00 p.m.):

Going to Hollywood:

The Street Breakz are back for the busy spring break:

And that should be all for now. We hope you enjoyed this update. if you did, share it with others and post comments. We love hearing your opinions! Have a great rest of your day, and see you real soon.

  1. What are all of the "restaurants" that are going to be in Springfield besides Moe's Tavern? Just wondering what the rest of the storefront is going to look like!

From left to right of the former IFFF complex: Kwik-E-Mart, Kentucky Fried Panda, Moe's Tavern, Krusty Burger, Android's Dungeon (facade only).

  3. It all looks amazing!
Only disappointment is that the flat ride will be another Dombo style ride. There are so many possibilities but the parks op for a tea cup or Dombo style ride.
Also strange that a part of the viewing area for the nighttime show will disappear because of that ride.
Also still not sold on the theming of the Transformers ride. It looks like ugly next to Mells Diner and New York street. But it's an awesome ride.
Potter is looking to become huge. It struck me how high the buildings are and how much of the land will be build on. It was sad to see Jaws go but I'm sure this is going to be amazing!

  4. i've been reading about some of the rumours for the (still rumoured) harry potter expansion, and it sounds incredible! If the rumours are true, they really are going all out on the attention to detail side of things. what i've heard is that the whole diagon alley area is going to be hidden behind the facades of some london landmarks along with grimmauld place, and you enter the land through a "secret" entrance next to the leaky cauldron.

then i've heard some of the shops/restaurant that will be included and well as is to be expected everything sounds amazing.

t also seems that knockturn alley is going to get a look in too!

    exciting stuff

Please bear in mind that all of these are still rumours and none from myself directly, they are all what i've read on other theme park websites

  5. With all the amazing effort the seems to be going on around the parks to not only build new rides, but to improve the themeing of existing stuff (simpsons, bathrooms, etc), I wonder if Universal is considering an update on Rockit's queue and "theme".

It's quite possibly the most cheap-looking queue in a major theme park in Orlando. I hope they plan on adressing that.

  6. Been going to the park for years. It looks like a lot of construction that might spoil a first timers visit. with that in mind what would be the best month to go for 2013?
