Next-Gen Entry Available at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon
It's no longer a secret... Disney's Next-Gen project is now being unveiled in phases, and more and more new details are revealed every now and then. Today we have a minor (but still important) update on this project.
Since a few weeks ago, a quite large section of the main entrance of Disney's Typhoon Lagoon had been walled-off to allow the installation of the new turnstile-free RFID readers. These new "touch points" have been officially unveiled last Friday, and are now available to Resort Guests and all other Guests with RF-enabled tickets (including tickets sold at the water park itself). According to Disney, this is actually "the first of two phases of conversion at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. The second phase of work will begin [this] week."
Of course, we expect these enhancements to show up also in the main entrance area of Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park once it reopens on March 16, 2013. The water park is currently closed for seasonal maintenance.
I'm guessing those wristbands are waterproof?
