Theme Parks Expected to Be Very Busy Today

The Orlando Theme Park News Team will not be able to follow the crowds level today due to a lot of important projects we are following and due to work reasons (that is why we won't be able to update our Theme Park Wait Times site today), but we just wanted to give a heads up to all our readers, as it definitely looks like today some parks (especially the Magic Kingdom Park and possibly even Universal's Islands of Adventure) may close due to capacity. Some of our photos from past years reveal just how bad the situation can get:

Our advice to you? First of all, try to get to the specific park you would like to visit early in the day (BEFORE midday would be best), that is, if you would like to brave the crowds. Also, try to avoid the most popular rides in this period (if you are a local, that's not going to be difficult). Why not focusing on the least visited attractions for once? The Carousel of Progress, the Country Bear Jamboree, Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, Stitch's Great Escape are all very interesting attractions. The best advice we got? Stay home, read a book about the parks (but no watching television!), and rest. At least until January 5, 2013.
