More Information on Disney's Touch-To-Pay System
As you will remember, Orlando Theme Park News was the first to report that the new Next-Gen payment system was going to be added to some of Epcot's Quick Service Restaurants this week. Well, now we have some more new official information regarding this new Touch-To-Pay system.
- First of all, this new Next-Gen addition has become available in more places starting from today, December 11, 2012. You can now use this system at the following locations (wherever Key to the World cards are accepted today): Epcot, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Resort and Disney’s Yacht & Beach Resort (except for laundry, valet and arcade locations in resorts).
- For now, the new devices can only be used by Guests staying at any of the aforementioned Walt Disney World Resort hotel.
- Also, as we stated in our previous update on the matter, these devices also allow entry of a PIN, which can be set up during the check-in process. This PIN will be required for purchases of $50 or more. If for any reason you cannot remember your PIN, you should go to Front Desk in person and present a valid photo ID to obtain assistance in resetting and changing the PIN.
- What if you happen to lose your Key to the World (your room key/charging card)? In that case, you should immediately report it report it to the Front Desk or Guest Relations as soon as possible so that your card can be deactivated right away.
We are one more step closer to the full introduction of the Next-Generation Project. More on this coming soon.
