Magic Kingdom Projects: Rapunzel's Tower Now Up
Today we have an interesting news to share here on Orlando Theme Park News!
Even though we will not be able to get to the park today due to a very busy schedule, we wanted to report to our readers that one of our sources shared a great news regarding one of the minor projects currently happening at the Magic Kingdom Park. In fact, we have just been told that Rapunzel's Tower can now be seen towering over the new Tangled-themed area that is currently under construction in the park (between "It's A Small World" and the entrance to Liberty Square)! According to this report, this miniature tower is quite tall and has ivy growing around it. There are no signs of Rapunzel's hair... yet.
As we stated on our Facebook page, we are planning on going back to the park very soon to take photos of it.
EDIT: Here's a link to one of the first photos of the new tower, taken by Twitter user "DibaDisney."
wow...that is so incredibly out of place.
ReplyDeletethis is probably the first time disney's ever really hit such a mistake when it comes to themeing.
Its definitely out of place, but I think its ok as long as they don't have hair coming out of it as it will somewhat (fit) with the haunted mansion.
ReplyDeleteThis completely breaks lands (Fantasyland/Liberty Square).
ReplyDeleteI always thought the only thing that was to break lands is Cinderella's Castle.
I wonder/hope if they will be covering this up with trees on the LS side.
That said, I like it.
Very true if it was somehow covered up with trees it would be acceptable
ReplyDeleteI love how the previous anonymous commentators has already come to the conclusion that this how Disney is going to leave the tower. The area won't open for a while, construction hasn't fully ended. and most importantly LANDSCAPING has yet to begin.
ReplyDeleteBut how do you KNOW this isn't how it will be displayed??
ReplyDeleteSo long as this is hidden from the HM side I think it should look excellent.
