Celebrate The Magic! - New Projection Show (VIDEO)
As you know, a new and improved projection show recently debuted at the Magic Kingdom Park, called "Celebrate The Magic!". It is very similar to its predecessor ("The Magic, The Memories, and You!"), but this time the show does not feature photos of Guests, and we have to say that we consider that an improvement, as the pictures shown on Cinderella Castle were not clearly visible. In some instances, they were not visible at all. "Celebrate The Magic" actually celebrates (as the name correctly implies) the characters that distinguish the great storytelling techniques that only Disney can use.
But, instead of describing the whole show to you, we think it is better if you see it firsthand. Enjoy the video!:
So, after having seen the show, what do you personally think about it? Do you find this an improvement over the former "The Magic, The Memories, and You!" show (in case you need to refresh your memory, you can find our video of that show by CLICKING HERE)? It's worse. It still hasn't got a story (like the excelent Paris version) and the castle doesn't show in the overly horrible kaleidoscope effects. Then it's only a bumpy wall instead of a castle projection.
ReplyDeleteI didn't like the former "show" either.
Why not a story showing Walt creating Oswald and Mickey. They start building the castle and their friends come to help. They remoddel it a few times but then a dragon and some Disney vilains use force and magic to take it down in spectecular ways. Sorcere Mickey counter strikes the magic. The castle is in ruins but the baddies are gone. The gang teams up again to build an even more wonderfull castle, the end.
while it doesn't have a story the projections are pretty spectacular.
ReplyDeletei do agree that they didn't incorporate the castle as well as they have done in the past but at least the random pictures of park guests are gone.
i agree...i think that it needs a story but the projections are 100 times better than the first show...
ReplyDeleteI loved MM&Y.
ReplyDeleteAnd although the new show is kinda similar, I don't consider it was an improvement at all! Now it seems like a pointless and emotionless show; while the music and projections of MM&Y created an awesome environment followed by wishes... God, I miss the music!
I don't care for the new show at all. I thought it was a bit boring. Like Ray said, the new show is pointless and emotionless.
