Universal to Make Major Announcement on Nov. 1
It looks like it is finally time for Universal to announce something very important in the near future.
All the theme park fans that have followed our photo-updates in the past few months know very well what Universal is going to announce. Even though Universal Orlando is trying to keep it all a secret, it has been confirmed by an incredible amount of sources that the announcement will definitely involve "Transformers - The Ride," which will be an almost exact clone of the Transformers ride that opened not so long ago at Universal Studios Hollywood. We expect Universal to release artworks showing the exterior of the ride's building (that is something most of us really want to see!) and possibly some renderings of the ride itself.
But, a question remains: "When will the announcement take place?" According to the official Facebook Page of the Universal Orlando Resort, this important announcement should take place on the following date:
NOVEMBER 1, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.
Despite the fact that this new ride will open at Universal Studios Florida, it is rumored that the media event will take place at Universal's Islands of Adventure. Also, there are some rumors that point to the possibility that the Resort may have some more minor announcements to include during that event. We'll wait and see.

My only hope, is the side of the building facing New York will be appropriately themed. Not the same robots and explosions painting.
ReplyDeleteso finally Universal have decided to tell the world something that those who care already know...unless they are going to pull a rabbit out of the hat and surprise us all!
ReplyDeleteto be honest, they need to add a little extra to this announcement. the transformers / potter pt2 have been common knowledge for so long now that the lack of official confirmation was becoming embarrassing.
universal have managed the press side of these expansions poorly to date - although it will still interesting to finally see details of what is going into "new potterworld"
Agreed about the theming of the building. Would love to see a NY-style facade on Transformers. In my dreams, I'd like to see something themed to Kong. Still hate that the big ape is completely absent from that area, save for a small golden statue in Mummy.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you fatdonut, an awesome e-ticket ride AND a whole new land with another e-ticket ride is not enough, they need to step it up... realy?
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering why they reveal it at Islands of Adventure when all the building is going on at Universal Studios.
I'm ready to update the my google maps artwork with everything they will release!!!
ReplyDeleteHave we heard any new info on this?
