Universal Studios Update: Waterfront Open (PART 2)
Thank you very much for continuing to read this update (PART 1 can be found at this link).
Let's now continue to check out the park by moving away from the former Amity Village:
We will now check out The Simpsons Ride area:
A panoramic photo of this colorful corner of the park (FULL-SIZE):
A new standalone midway game has been installed near the ride's entrance:
All the other new midway games have received their official signs, and they look really cool:
Very funny names and graphics:
Also, we appreciated the fact that the games are indeed all themed after The Simpsons, creating an area with a theme that flows very nicely:
This sign in particular has many of the fun quotes that were formerly mentioned in the old facades:
This is new:
Some cannons:
Shoot the beer!:
By the way, the signs of the games are in "3-D" as you can see from these photos:
The back of the games:
New panels along the Simpsons' waterfront:
Rumor has it that the Kwik-E-Mart will be expanded very soon:
I found this to be absolutely hilarious:
Let's take a look inside this colorful store:
I personally love the park map of the fictional Krustyland theme park! It is now even printed on t-shirts:
More new fence covers along Central Park:
Notice that these panels almost completely hide the real fence:
In the Hollywood section of the park, we noticed that the photo-op is back:
Also, work on the planters next to Mel's has been completed:
Also (always according to rumors) these bathrooms next to the future Transformers Ride should be expanded:
While leaving Hollywood Boulevard, we noticed that the Betty Boop banner was back:
Looking sharp, Betty!
And this is all! Thank you very much again for reading, and have a great rest of your day!

Can you buy Squishees? Thats something i would buy.
ReplyDeletePerfact panorama! Thanx.
ReplyDeleteSee Ya!
Yes Sam, they sell squishies! At least, they used to - I haven't been for a while...
ReplyDeleteGreat update as always!
ReplyDeleteBut is it only me, or do all midway games, no matter how well themed they may be, still cheesy? I just don't think midway games belong in a theme park. Leave them for the amusement parks and carnivals. Just my opinion. ;-)
JASON, I THINK IT'S ONLY YOU. EVERY PARK HAS GAMES, EVEN DISNEY.
ReplyDeleteI doubt it's only me. The only Disney park with midway games is Animal Kingdom and they're totally out of place. Primeval Whirl should be removed as well. Cheap carnival attraction. You should never see ride supports at Disney.
