New Fantasyland Update: Princesses & Grass (Part 2)
Welcome to part 2 of this exciting Fantasyland photo-report (PART 1 can be found at this link).
Let us now take a look around the Little Mermaid's area, which presents some major changes:
As you can see, fake grass is being installed on the rock-work. This is nothing new, of course, as we reported back in 2011 that some tests had already been done. CLICK HERE to view some short videos of the test or CLICK HERE to see some high-res. photos to view some short videos on the matter.
A closer look at the faux grass:
The arch over the service road looks really gorgeous, just like the rest of the area:
A look at the progress that has been done on the Seven Dwarfs' mountain:
A side view of the building:
In Storybook Circus, work continue on the big blue world tent:
One of the two entrances of the store have been almost completed:
The yellow tent is taking shape as well:
It looks like these may be the supports for the future sign of this quick-service location:
And this should be the end. Or should I say the beginning... of Magic Kingdom's future.
Sweet I like the new changes. Will their be lots of changes???
ReplyDeleteI love the expansion. Family is going down in 30 days. We can hardly wait. I hope they will open the area for at least walking traffic before our vacation ends.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of you hard work with creating the updates!
I'd be interested in seeing if Disney's repaired the prop luggage that guests have been destroying at the circus.
ReplyDeleteGreat report. Beauty and the Beast is looking stunning. And to finally see the "wooden stepladder" (I don't know what else to call it) removed and the new turrets installed on the beast castle wall, the castle really looks convincing. More so than I thought it would. I can't wait to see this in person!
