"My Disney Experience" App Coming Very Soon...

You may have already heard this, but the Walt Disney World Resort will soon officially release an entirely renovated app (for smartphones and tablets) that will help guests to better navigate the parks. Take a look:

My Disney Experience Mobile Application to Launch in August

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Online is releasing a beta version of My Disney Experience, a free mobile application designed to help Guests make the most of their experience while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. The app will be available in early August.

• The app includes state-of-the-art maps with GPS and in-park navigation that provide a vivid, accurate representation of the theme parks, resorts and other on-property points of interest.
• My Disney Experience also will include park hours, wait times, dining and attraction information, a digital tip board and nearby attractions and services.
• Some of the features will require Guests to create an account and sign in to activate functionality.
• Initially, the app will be available for the iPhone and iPad (Apple App Store) and Android smartphones (Google Play and Amazon Android Marketplace). My Disney Experience for Android tablets as well as Blackberry and Windows devices will be available for download this fall.
• Enhancements and updates will be made to this application throughout the coming months.

In early 2013, the new "My Disney Experience" app will replace Mobile Magic as the official app of the Walt Disney World Resort. My Disney Experience for Disneyland Resort is planned for release in early 2013.

We will soon discover how this new app will work, as it is going be part of the Next-Gen initiative that Disney is currently preparing for all guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. It is definitely going to be interesting.
