LEGOLAND Florida Update: When it Rains... (Part 1)
...Guests start running away from the parks. That's exactly what happened during our last visit to LEGOLAND Florida a few days ago. A light (but continuous) rain during the early afternoon hours seemingly scared away almost all the guests in the park, which left at around 3:00 or 4:00 p.m., despite the fact that the park was planned to be open until 8:00 p.m.
But, you know what? That gave us a great opportunity to take some pretty nice photos of the park! Let's see:
Well, yes, the sky has a color that predicts a not-so-dry visit to the park:
A few guests were lingering around the entrance:
New signs advertising the new Water Park (which we didn't visit due to the rain):
There are also multiple new banners advertising the re-imagined water-ski show in the Pirates' section of the park:
The extremely over-hyped LEGO Factory:
This underwhelming exhibit is showing its"age" (it has been open for less than a year, but little guests touch a lot of things):
The area around the great "Fresh from Florida Greenhouse" (which we love):
New sign advertising this new exhibit:
Inside the Greenhouse there are beautiful models and plants:
The former gardens near the lake were open as a picnic spot for a large group:
This beautiful mansion seems wasted. It should house at least a small exhibit about the history of the Cypress Gardens:
The Carousel:
A few people around Fun Town:
Inside the 4-D Theater, LEGOLAND now shows some interesting fun facts about the park and the company in general. That is definitely a great change:
Try to say this name, if you dare!:
The beautiful MINILAND U.S.A. area of the park is always beautiful, even when it rains:
The future site of the new Star Wars area?:
The mansion is currently being used as dressing rooms for the characters. I've seen the princesses go in and out of there pretty regularly.
