IOA Update: Lost Continent Continues to Fade Away
Good evening OTPN readers, and welcome to a new Islands of Adventure Update! As always, we have quite a few new information to share with you, so hold on tight! Here we go:
Port of Entry:
A small repainting project:
Some of the wait times for the day (note that most of the attractions were temporarily closed due to an approaching thunderstorm):
The Hulk coaster is again getting a bit dirty...
...but this is due to the constant vapor:
A quite busy Marvel Superhero Island:
Toon Lagoon:
The beautiful Jurassic Park arch:
Interestingly, it looks like all the midway games in the Lost Continent are closing down. Walls are up hiding a few of them already:
Others are still open:
The Frozen Desert will soon be demolished according to many rumors:
Let us now focus on the work being done in the future area of the future train:
A peek between (and above) the walls:
A section of the Treasures of Poseidon store has been walled-off:
Poseidon's Fury had a very long line due to the recent thunderstorm, and had a temporary sign too:
Seuss Landing:
The wall section below the Seuss Train that received some work has been repainted:
The trolley is still missing its main sign:
That's all for tonight. See you soon with more photo-reports and updates. Oh, and don't forget to comment!
Glad the midway games are going away. They belong in six flags not IoA or AK.

ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with Midway games, I'm gald there adding them to the Simpsons, they add excitement and fun.
I never understood why people would pay money to get into a themepark that has lots of things to do and see and then go play some Midway games that they can play on any local fair that hits their town. Still thy rake in extra cash so Uni can put in more awesome attractions so that is ok but they are a better fit to the Simpsons attraction (I hope they theme them to the ride). The midway games at The Lost Continent look out of place.
ReplyDeleteI looking forward to the so calles Potter train...
