Future World Update: Imagination Changes (PART 3)
As you know, The Seas with Nemo & Friends pavilion has got a new entrance canopy (more photos HERE):
By standing near the Seas pavilion, you can notice how dirty the top of Spaceship Earth is:
Inside the Land pavilion, we think it would be great to see something new in the Circle of Life Theater:
It is quite large:
Moving on to Journey into Imagination, which is receiving some much-needed tender loving care:
First of all, a brand-new red carpet has been installed in the entire queue area:
Very nice:
This area should receive the new carpet soon (if they are going to completely replace the entire floor):
As we got near the loading area, we noticed a new wall, installed right in the middle of the queue. FASTPASS, anyone? Nah, hopefully it will be for something else (Next-Gen?):
Unfortunately, the ride itself is still mostly the same. For example, the ride's vehicle did not align correctly with the screens in the first room:
Of course, there are new LED lights in some scenes:
...including in the grand finale:
But this is definitely not enough. Is it, Dr. Channing?:
Some new images available for purchase inside ImageWorks:
Has everyone left this place?:
At least Figment's here:
Who doesn't love this fantastic character with such a great personality?:
New Figment t-shirt:
...and a lot of Muppet merchandise:
Some great EPCOT Center t-shirts:
And this should be all for Future World. See you soon with a World Showcase Update!
Finaly, a Monorail shirt! I had to hand applique one for my sone this past trip b.c he wanted one so badly ( Actually, I like my design better :)
ReplyDeleteWish the ride would go back to the original Dreamfinder & Figment! Love the old '82 shirts! I was there in Oct '82 when park opened & have shirt & merchandise like them! I just aged myself!! Where is the 30th Anniversary Celebration???
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see Imagination getting some attention!
ReplyDeleteOkay Disney, If you replaced the carpet for JII, then you can EASILY put Honey, I Shrunk The Audience back in next door. Sure, it's not something new, but at least the pavillion will MAKE SENSE again.
It makes more sense now. Right now I'll actually go watch Captain EO, where as before I completely ignored the pavillion. Makes a lot more sense to have something enjoyable in at least 1 part of the building.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the Kermit & the Statler & Waldorf (AKA the 2 "old guys" in the balcony)shirts - hope they have them in November when I'm there!
ReplyDeleteYeah I gotta agree with His Excellency on this one. EO is MUCH better than Honey I Shrunk the Kids!
