Magic Kingdom: Complimentary Wi-Fi Now Available
As part of our efforts to continuously improve the experience for Guests at the Walt Disney World Resort, we’re excited to announce that complimentary Wi-Fi service is now available at Magic Kingdom Park.
Guests with wireless-enabled devices can now connect to the complimentary network by locating the network (Disney – Guest), selecting to connect and then accepting the terms and conditions.
Once connected, the Guest will be connected to the network in locations where the Wi-Fi network is available. If a Guest has already connected their device to the Disney Wi-Fi network at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel public space, they will not be prompted to accept the terms and conditions again.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is planned to be available at all of our theme parks and Downtown Disney over the next few months. Cellular carriers covered for Wi-Fi access: AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and MetroPCS.

As we always say, every time we are visiting a theme park we never even think about using the internet, but this addition is definitely positive, as there may be some instances in which guests may want to take a break and just check their e-mail or read something. Oh yes, there's also that tiny little thing called Next-Gen, which will also heavily rely on internet access according to many rumors...
I really hope this doesnt mean an invitation for people to be all into their phones, ipods, ipads on on vacation, and walking aimlessly staring into their device and not enjoying the time with their families...
ReplyDeleteFinally, a free wi-fi internet access in Disney World Resort. This is one cool reason to bring my kid's laptops next summer.
