Bay Lake Tower to Start Offering Check-In Service

Very good news coming from Bay Lake Tower, the Contemporary Resort's newest DVC addition. Beginning from August 20, 2012, most guests staying at the Bay Lake Tower will be able to check-in by going directly to the lobby of their hotel instead of having to go to the Contemporary Resort's Reception. Bay Lake Tower Lobby Offering Check-In

As we continually look for ways to enhance our arrival and overall Guest experience at Bay Lake Tower, we are excited to share the following changes. We are beginning a phased approach to relocating the Bay Lake Tower arrival experience for DVC Members and Guests to the Bay Lake Tower lobby. The lobby will be staffed with Front Office Cast Members from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. The Cast will be available to perform all Front Desk and Lobby Concierge transactions including check-in, check-out, ticket sales, dining reservations, recreation and spa reservations and all other vacation planning assistance.

Beginning Monday, August 20, all Members and Guests arriving by car or taxi, who will be staying at Bay Lake Tower Resort, will be directed by Security to the Bay Lake Tower lobby for check-in. At that time, Members and Guests arriving via Disney Magical Express (DME) will continue to be dropped off at Disney's Contemporary Resort porte-cochere where we will assist them with check-in as we do today.

That is certainly a very positive adjustment. Please, make sure to note that Guests using Disney's Magical Express from the Orlando International Airport will still have to check-in at the Contemporary Resort.
